Relationships between people, space, and objects have always interested me.  In this recent work, visual metaphors are used to explore the way isolation can be created by technology.  I also attempt to expose the stifling way environmental changes will affect our ability to communicate with each other and our surroundings.  Overall, the work is inspired by changes in my own family as my children exit adolescence and struggle with their own independence. Embedded in this work are my concerns about our climate, my questions about our ability to communicate, and my interest in relationships between people and their environment. The space between us is growing as we isolate ourselves from each other and our ecosystem.
